Every year, on May 6, we honor our profession with International Management Accounting Day®, which commemorates the important role management accountants play within their organizations. All around the world, finance and accounting professionals work tirelessly to drive insights that enable their organizations to operate more effectively, and it is with great pleasure that we celebrate the value they continue to create. To mark this year’s celebration, and in addition to the multiple initiatives undertaken by our global teams, we reached out to all of our chapters around the Middle East and India to roll out a number of activities to mark this day. So much so that our day turned into an entire week! Be it the collaborative video featuring chapter leaders from around the region, the one-on-one Count Me In podcast interview we conducted with IMA President and CEO Jeff Thomson, the webinar we co-hosted with EY covering the implications of COVID-19 on financial reporting, or the multiple thought leadership elements rolled out throughout the week, it was wonderful to see our IMA community coming together!
